Born and raised in San Francisco, CA and lived in New York for six years during my twenties. I have worked in the beauty industry since I was fifteen years old.

I’ve spent 18 years in the beauty industry and living in New York for 6 of those years gave me the opportunity to establish the art of the "perfect" blowout and skill to match the right shade for your complexion along with everything in between leaving you flawless!
I started from humble beginnings in San Francisco as a young girl who worked my first photoshoot and first wedding at 15 years old.
I dreamt to one day be a part of the beauty/fashion industry. In 2008 I seized an opportunity to move to New York. With 4 suitcases, $4K to my name and a sublet on 190th & Fort Washington, I managed to find my way in the Big Apple not knowing anyone.
My dreams became a reality as opportunities were presented.
I participated in New York Fashion Week, music videos, fashion editorials and celeb glam. I set roots in Menlo Park, CA at Alex Chases Salon inside The Rosewood Sand Hill Five Star Resort.
Vanessa Grant continues to trail blaze in Silicon Valley at Bash Salon in Portola Valley, CA accepting clients every other month along with expanding into Austin, TX as an independent salon owner.
